Belize City, April 11, 2012

Belizeans applying to obtain a non-immigrant United States Visa will have to cough up more as the application fee is increasing as of this Friday, April 13th.

The US state Department has announced an adjustment in the processing fees of $40.

This means Belizeans applying will have to pay $320 as part of the application, while still having no guarantee that their applications will be successful.

The increase in fees, according to the US State Department, is meant to support the addition and expansion of the United States overseas facilities and other expenses borne from an increase in visa demand.
